Riverbend Park
Our largest park encompassing 50 acres of land. It features a large open area, softball field, volleyball courts, a pavillion, a fenced in area for large events, a large playground, 19 campsite pads with restrooms and showers along with a dump station and a boatramp.
Keilburg Park
Located at the top of 4th St., commonly referred to as "The Hill". This park boasts a baseball and soccer field.
MLK Park
Located at the corner of MLK and Marburger adjacent to the Little League Fields. It features a set of swings, a space arc, basketball goals, picnic tables and BBQ pits.
Railroad Park
Our historical park located off NE 1st St. This park is dedicated to the railroad workers of Smithville and is built on the site where the depot station was located. It features restrooms, a mid-sized playground and several historical train cars.

Rec Center Rentals
Meeting Rooms - starting _ $40/hr($100 deposit)
Two rooms are available to rent for meetings or other small events. The larger room accomodates 75 and the smaller accomodates 35.
Gym - starting _ $350 ($500 deposit)
The gym is most often used for larger events, such as weddings and large parties. When renting the gym, you may also add:
Kitchen facilities - $100
Stage - $50
Sound system - $25
We have several areas both within the Rec Center and within Riverbend Park available for rent.

Park Rentals
Chuckwagon - starting _ $125 ($250 deposit)
A 250'x500' open area with a covered dance floor. This area is fenced and filled with beautiful old oak trees. It is often used for wedding receptions and large events.
Pavillion - starting _ $150 ($250 deposit)
A 140'x120' enclosed area with large garage style doors to allow for air cirulation. Pavillion rental also includes a 120x72 covered porch area and BBQ Pits.

After School Program
The Smithville Parks & Recreation Department is pleased to provide after school care to children in pre-kindergarten to sixth grade. Care is provided every day children attend school, including early release days (care is not available on school holidays). Parents are required to pick up their children by 6:30 pm.

Little Dribblers
Registration for Little Dribblers begins in the fall - please check back for specific dates! The six week season begins in January each year.

Pee Wee (Co-Ed) 4 - 6 yrs. old
8 & Under (Girls & Boys) 6 - 8yrs. old

Registration Fee $35 first child/$30 each thereafter

Smithville PARD currently oversees Little Dribblers (basketball) and Little Bumpers (volleyball).
Parks and Rec is not affiliated with Smithville Littlle League or Smithville's Youth Football.
Little Bumpers
Registration for Little Dribblers begins in August - check back for specific dates! The six week season begins in October each year.
Currently, divisions are co-ed and determined by grade. There is a third/fouth grade division and a fifth/sixth grade division.
Senior Field Trips
($15 fee per trip)
Joins us as we visit Brenham on 6/11 and the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center on 7/11.
Movies in the Park
(free!)
Come out to Riverbend to enjoy a family flick under the stars!
Field Trip Tuesdays
($20 fee per trip)
Join our weekly adventures which provide the option of all day care for children aged 7 - 12 yrs old (children under 7 require must be accompanied by adult).
Adults are are welcome too!
Reading Club Wednesdays
Come early to the library events for special crafts and activities, & enjoy a lunch in the park before the Reading Club events from 1pm - 3pm. (6/10 - 7/8)
Think About it Thursdays
The library will host discussion "salons" on Thursdays at 3pm to follow field trips on Tuesdays. They will discuss the science aspects of the trip and can check out subject related books.
